Hey, look– it’s Twofer Tuesday–  I guess I didn’t think these two deserved their own separate entry, so here ya go. Here are the quick pencils I worked up before getting these pieces inked and toned for the holiday rush of commissions (which was a spectacular success, by the way– KEEP ORDERING, MY BILLS LIKE BEING PAID).

People that watch me over at deviantArt won’t be surprised by the next several Skratchadays, but after that is some new stuff for you guys. Enjoy the new year of Skratchaday!

Not that I dislike Cars for any reason, it’s just far from my favorite of their films. BRAVE is looking amazing from the trailer so far!

Not that I’m not infinitely pleased that the Avengers are currently the top book month after month, but doesn’t seem weird that there’s next to no interest or hype behind X-Men? Man, if you’d have told me that ten years ago that it would be the case today, I’d have scoffed walked away. Such a weird marketplace at the moment…

On with the sketch!

I dig the Wolverine in the brown and tan– call me old-fashioned, but it best represented the ferocity of the character. In my mind, anyway. All the stripes, seams, and slices in his current look kind of look silly to me. He’s not the kind of guy that would wear much of a uniform anyway, but when he does? I think he’d pick something that gets the message across fast, not something designed to show what he DOES, really, y’know? Maybe it’s just me.
