To commemorate the attendance of both STAN LEE and BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS at this year’s Emerald City Comicon ( [link] ), I was asked to create a piece for them.
An homage to the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15 (the first appearance of Spider-Man), I had some fun with this one.
Here’s the final piece as it’ll appear at the show! Enjoy.

I thought it would be a good idea to create a page with all my active samples, so people could refer to them at will. With that said, here we go!

Ultimate Spider-Man commission

Homage to Amazing Spider-Man #39
Thought I’d share some of the many, many commissions I’ve been working on lately. Here’s two Ultimate Spider-Man pieces and a Nova.
Spidey is always a fun subject– he’s one of my favorite characters. Here in particular he’s represented by his younger, teenage, Ultimate Comics-self… which I’m pretty sure shows pretty glaringly from the unmasked pic there. Fun fun!
Nova is another one of those Marvel characters I’d love a crack at someday. I discovered Nova only a few years after I came into comics, and I loved his overall look and mood in the old series– and even enjoyed where they started taking him in New Warriors when it debuted, although minus the “KID” moniker they tossed on him originally.
Anyway, enjoy!

Here are a few more of my commissions and sketchbook pre-order pieces. Ms. Marvel, Ultimate Spider-Man, and the Super-Skrull.
Enjoy!
