Here’s a piece I did for a fan at Dragon*Con. It was in a sketchbook labeled “Spider-Man’s Friends”, and as gorgeous as some of the pieces were, I’m disappointed no one else had gone the route of the cartoon trio. You’re just lucky I didn’t add Ms. Lion!
Originally set at 11 x 17 inches, which is typical comic page dimensions, I’ve edited it a bit to give it the contrast I’ve been itching to see it in ever since I handed it over. If I ever get the chance, I’ll do more! Those buildings demand some tone! Spidey needed his negative space! And I needed the closure. Enjoy!

Year ago, when Marvel seemed relatively interested in me, I did rounds and rounds and rounds of samples for them. Being a gigantic fan of the 80s Spider-man and His Amazing Friends cartoon, I worked up this three-pager from a colleague’s script. Thought you might dig seeing this.

Welcome to a new, shiny work week! It’s great to see the weather getting better out there as we recover from a weird winter, isn’t it? Seems like everyone had a blizzard at some point the past few months.
Hey, I’ll be appearing at two conventions in March– C2E2 and Megacon! It’ll be great to return to both shows– we love doing them and the fans treat us great there. I’ll be offering con sketches, original art, SKYWARD, prints, and commissions live at the show… so stop by!

No-brainer #1: Jeremy loves SPIDER-MAN & HIS AMAZING FRIENDS. I just do. I remember watching the show as a kid living in a small apartment in South Bend, Indiana… it rocked my world to see the superheroes I saw in my Dad’s comics animated right there on my television screen. Special nod goes out to Firestar, the best new character outside of Harley Quinn ever added to a comic series AFTER debuting on a TV show. That, and my wife adores her.
