Thing is, I’ve drawn 4 different covers for this issue–  I just wasn’t happy with any of the others until now. Anyway, you faithful followers have stuck by me through thick and thin, eagerly awaiting more morsels of info on the new Skyward issues (of which I have several nearly completely drawn as I write this)… so you deserve to see this first! I won’t post this around for a few days, so show the love and let me know whatcha think!

Note of interest: This is one of the first things I drew this year, having drawn it on the 3rd or something. Hard to remember a couple weeks ago.

Here’s a small gathering of some of my favorite 2011 convention sketches–  A few of ‘em, anyway. Turns out you can’t upload anything over 2 mb to the WordPress here, so a lot of my camera shots are over the limit… and I didn’t have the time to resize the ones I liked a lot that didn’t fit the parameters. Enjoy nonetheless!

True story: Outside my studio window at this exact moment workers are drilling and breaking pebbles or something off the building facade to replace with a newer, tres chic look. My head is exploding.

Here’s a small gathering of some of my favorite 2011 commissions–   the best part being it’s fun to look back on the previous year and see things I like about my work for a change, hehehehe. There’s a lot of fun, great pieces I did in 2011– in my mind, anyway. Your mileage may vary. Seeing the stack of completed 2012 commissions grow on the scanner next to me makes it even better! Stay tuned.

Hey, look– it’s Twofer Tuesday–  I guess I didn’t think these two deserved their own separate entry, so here ya go. Here are the quick pencils I worked up before getting these pieces inked and toned for the holiday rush of commissions (which was a spectacular success, by the way– KEEP ORDERING, MY BILLS LIKE BEING PAID).

I like this one–  I defy anyone to hate the look on Chameleon Kid’s face there. It’s priceless, blast it. Also, I still prefer the Manapul redesigns (from the “Threeboot Legion”, I’m told) to any other at the moment. They’re solid, iconic designs. More guys could learn from that.
