At HeroesCon 2008, I was lucky enough to have met Bob McLeod. He strolled up to my table, introduced himself, and mentioned that he’d seen some original art someone had bought from me and sought me out to ask if I’d be interested in being featured in the next issue of his Rough Stuff magazine. I agreed, of course– but not until after stammering and tripping over myself in shock at the whole situation.
You see, I’ve long been a fan of Rough Stuff. Artist and fellow Giant Robot Head Studios member Loston Wallace introduced me to the mag a few years ago, praising its in-depth look into the creation of comic book art– many times, from artists he and I both greatly admired as fans. So when Bob McLeod comes up to you and says, “Hey– I’d like you to be involved in this awesome thing you’ve drooled over for years,”– YOU SAY YES. WITH AS LITTLE EMBARRASSING REACTION AS POSSIBLE.
So here it is! Just released a few weeks ago, before I set up the new website. The image above will lead you right to TWOMORROWS Publishing’s link to purchase a copy. The print copy is a steal– and there’s also an even more affordable option to get it as a PDF for only a couple bucks! Alternatively, you can get it from better comic shops nationwide. It’s over 100 pages of pure awesome, check it out.
For the official Rough Stuff website, go to:

Check out the special feature with never-before-seen material from the magazine that’s a bonus for Rough Stuff Online readers! It’s at:

Enjoy! I know I did.
