Up late tonight writing this on the 30th if you can believe that– sorry to ruin the illusion and show the “man behind the curtain”, but to be fair, doing a daily sketchblog is only possible with my workload if I fit it in where I can… and in this case? It’s writing a batch of these days ahead so I won’t run out of time and not have ANYTHING that day. Hope that isn’t a problem for anyone– but hey! Daily sketches!
On with those happy, daily moments of Jeremy Dale joy!
I think I mentioned yesterday that I love Spidey the other day, right? Yeah– not so much with Iron Man. I like the guy and all, but it’s hard to relate to a rich jerk that pushes people around to get what he wants, you know? Add in a tendency to drink heavier than any liver could ever handle and I just don’t find him enchanting. However, I dig the armor aspect, and at several points I find myself collecting his series ANYWAY. That, I think, shows the brilliance of the character more than anything. I don’t like the guy, but I read his book because it’s great. Figure that one out.

You may not like Iron Man, but you gotta admit they picked the perfect actor to play him!
@Sunny:
They so did! I can’t imagine anyone else filling those iron boots, and Robert did a fantastic job making him incredibly likable.

I’ve always enjoyed Iron Man, but I agree he is not easy to relate to. During Civil War, I definitely sided with Cap
His current series is fantastic. Fraction is a great writer and Salvador Larroca is one of the industry’s best and underrated artists. Love the sketch!
p. s. Does anyone else think Salvador’s Tony Stark looks like Sawyer from Lost and his Pepper Potts looks like Nicole Kidman?
@Luke:
Fraction is really stunning people with his Marvel work lately. Amazing writer– I’d love to work with him sometime.
P.S. That would be because he uses their likenesses for the characters, as I understand it, so yeah. hehehe Very much so.
