I was recently asked to create and illustrate a mascot for my awesome local comic shop for use in advertisements and commercials and all that. Here’s the first appearance of my work, in a television commercial for the greater Columbia, SC area! Very cool.

I was recently featured in Olivet Nazarene University‘s student newspaper, The Glimmerglass (volume 69 issue 3)! The article was primarily on my successes in the comic industry thus far, including my G.I. Joe run, my work on the 2008 Harvey Award-winning Popgun v.1 from Image, and the movie option for Miserable Dastards. Thanks, all! Much appreciated.

Here’s a look at my featured picks for this week’s comics! There’s many, many more also worth picking up, but these will be the books I’m definitely purchasing this week.

Figured some might enjoy a look at the latest works I’ve scanned and can share, so here ya go!
The Uniques pin-up is for Adam Withers and Comfort Love, who put out the always amazing The Uniques comic.
The Fantastic Four is a photoshopped combo piece of all four sketches I’d posted previously on this blog from Pittsburgh Comicon 2009.
The Coin-Operated Boy piece was for Steven Prouse, writer/creator of the captivating comic of the same name.
– Enjoy!
